What is Glycolic Acid?
Glycolic Acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid naturally occurring in sugar cane. It penetrates the skin and loosens thickened surface layers that appear as dry, rough, scaling skin.

As the uppermost layers are sloughed away, skin with a smoother texture and *healthier appearance is revealed.

What is GLY DERM®?

GLY DERM® is a skin care program that uses glycolic acid to improve skin tone, as well as to smooth fine wrinkles and diminish skin discoloration and blemishes.

It has been known for years that glycolic acid can improve skin wrinkling, dryness, roughness, flaking, scaling, and elasticity. However, most people find plain glycolic acid, particularly at higher concentrations, to be very irritating when applied to skin.

GLY DERM® glycolic acid is esterified, a process that combines glycolic acid with fruit alcohols. This produces gentle esters which maintain their full strength but are much less irritating to skin.

GLY DERM® is a supervised skin peel program. It combines esterified glycolic acid applications in your specialist skin clinic with an at-home skin care routine. Your practitioner determines the strength that's right for your in-clinic applications which can continue regularly until the desired result is achieved.
