Nlite –V

NLite is a revolutionary, non-invasive laser treatment that stimulates the production of natural collagen in the skin. As we grow old the levels of collagen reduce resulting in the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Clinical trials of the NLite laser conducted by a leading US pharmaceutical company have shown it, in many cases, to increase production of natural collagen by up to 85% resulting in an increased thickness of skin and smoothing of lines and wrinkles.

The NLite treatment can be combined with other non-invasive resurfacing treatments such as Microdermabrasion and Glycolic Peels as well as phytoceutical topical creams to enhance the surface texture of the skin.

How many treatments are required? - Current protocols recommend a course of 3 treatments at two week intervals in order to obtain maximum benefit. Over the next three months following your course, you will notice a gradual but significant reduction in the appearance of lines and wrinkles as the collagen levels increase. Additional treatments may be required periodically but this depends very much on the individual. We will be happy to advise you further during your consultation.

Which areas can be treated?

The treatment is suitable for a number of areas including eyes, mouth, forehead, cheeks, and neck and can be used on all skin types. Unlike other laser resurfacing treatments it is in most cases a painless procedure requiring no recovery time. You will only feel a mild tingling sensation as the laser light is absorbed in the skin. Having treated thousands of patients throughout the world with a high level of satisfaction, NLite is fast replacing existing surgical procedures with a safer, faster and less expensive treatment for a youthful appearance to your skin.

What will my skin look like after the treatment?

Immediately after your treatment there will be little or nothing to see on the treated skin, however some people do experience mild redness and a warming sensation. At worse you may have occasional small red bruises (purpura) scattered around the treated area, but these should fade within the next few days, but can be covered up with make-up.

There is a possibility that you may get a mild histamine type skin reaction which usually settles after 24 hours. You are advised not to take antihistamines or anti-inflammatory medications to treat these mild symptoms as this can lessen the results from the laser treatment

Will my skin feel any different after treatment? - Immediately after treatment your skin will not feel any different at all but you may experience a mild itching sensation 30 minutes to an hour afterwards. This is due to the histamine reaction mentioned above and is usually short-lived, lasting a matter of minutes in most cases.

Do not scratch the skin. If you skin is tender due to active breakouts, you may experience a reduction in tenderness as soon as one hour after treatment.

IPL Photo-rejuvenation

Is it effective?

It is best suited to skins showing first signs of lines and wrinkles, an ideal preventative treatment. Heavily sun-damaged skins will not experience optimal results.

Collagen fibres provide support and structure to the skin, with age they start to diminish causing fine lines and wrinkles. Photo-rejuvenation activates the fibroblasts to produce more collagen leaving the skin firmer and smoother.

What parts of the body can be treated?

Face, neck and chest as well as areas that have had sun exposure, i.e. hands

How many treatments are needed?

The best results are obtained over a course of six treatments and in combination with Environ products. A gap of 2-3 weeks is left between treatments and appropriate Environ homecare products should be used to aid skin firming and collagen production.

Aftercare Advice

The skin can appear slightly reddened and may feel warm to the touch.
